The Architectural Control Committee of the Glen Cove Homeowners Association is charged with preserving the architectural character of the community. This primarily pertains to the exterior portion of your property.
Article Vlll - "Architectural Control" and Article X - "Protective Covenants and Restrictions" of the GCHOA Amended Declaration define the Committee's responsibility while allowing it discretion in dealing with specific situations and requests.
Owners who wish to make modifications should review the GCHOA Architectural Control Guidelines, develop their written plan for what they want to do, and submit their plan with a form to the Board available on this website for advance approval. Contact the Board if you have questions.
Common examples requiring Board approval include:
Changes to fences around yards
Changes to exterior paint colors
Installation of solar panels or charging stations
Addition or removal of trees or large plantings
